Control4Control4 could be considered “old-school” home automation. It started out rather proprietary, even though they are trying to integrate new gen technology. They’re similar to the old top 1% of home automation, which includes Crestron and AMX. Their greatest success to date has been positioning themselves as less expensive than the other two. They boast whole-home automation, including areas such as your home theater, whole-home audio, lighting, climate, and security. “With one touch, dim the lights, play music, turn up the heat, lock the doors and arm the security system.” One touch goes a long way.
