There are many ways to lock and unlock your door using the Level Lock+ Connect]. The first, and most obvious, is the Level app. If you have an iPhone, you can use it to both lock and unlock your door by tapping your phone to it. There are NFC Key Cards, also known as near field communication key cards or fobs to use as keys.
A keypad accessory (not included) can be added to the lock, communicating with the Level Lock+ Connect over BLE to lock with just one touch, or unlock using a 4-6 digit code. On the lock itself, there is a Capacitive Touch Interaction that locks or unlocks your door by touching the lock’s outer bezel⎯it even has a speaker in the lock to make you aware of when the door becomes unlocked, locked, or if there is an error.
Of course, there is also voice control, which is compatible with both Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. It even integrates with Ring. An added bonus is that you can also have a standard key, so if your phone dies⎯or your teenager’s phone dies⎯or if the power goes out, you’ll still have a way to unlock and lock your door. The lock works on both Wi-Fi (for smart assistants) and Bluetooth (for your phone), giving more back up plans for unexpected moments.
For guests, you can share keys by adding people, passes, NFC cards, or keypad codes via the app. If you’re having an event, such as a holiday party, birthday party, or Superbowl party, you can create a pass to share, setting the duration that pass is active for however long you expect to have people coming in and out of your home.
There are a number of features for your convenience that can be enabled via the app. The Level Lock+ Connect can automatically lock when you leave home, and unlock when you arrive. You can set automations to automatically lock or unlock your door based on specific times, or user activity. Using the app, you can control your lock remotely while you’re away, so if you need to let someone in quickly, you can rest assured that you can do so.
