This pretty bright, 550 lumen LED bulb with JBL loudspeakers gives us the ease of bluetooth connectivity at a reasonable value proposition, only $59.99. Usually, speaker-free LED smart bulbs run $40 to $50 and $60 for color so having a smart LED bulb with sound for $60 is pretty great. It’s great for bedrooms, home offices and other single rooms and even great for bathrooms. Playing music in the shower through this saves you recharge time when using something like the Altec H2O bluetooth speaker.
This product is relatively unique, though it is not the only one with speakers. However, combine the fact that they are using JBL components, which by the way have an excellent reputation, and so far SengLED products have been receiving accolades at various recent trade shows compared to similar products – this one seems like one which has been done properly.

Would it be better if it spoke WiFi or ZWave, possibly but this is what it is and honestly it’s a great Fathers Day or birthday gift. You can throw it here or there for whatever you need. Though it is not an outdoor speaker, it’s probably okay in sheltered outdoor areas though you should not leave it out or exposed to the elements.
Who would want it and why? It’s a speaker system and lights in one, everyone needs lights everyone needs music. It’s good for a single room where you need sound; you can basically just toss it in. You’re not an audiophile looking to hear a complete frequency range including deep, booming bass because if you were, you’d go for the big brother, the Pulse, as it can also hook up with the SengLED Pulse Amp allowing you to use your personal subwoofer.
