ADT Self Setup, as the new smart home security system is called, requires an ADT Smart Home Hub – mission control for the whole system. ADT allows you to build out your security system, with a keypad, a keychain remote, door and window sensors, flood and temperature sensor, pet-friendly motion sensors, and a smoke detector. In addition to the Build-Your-Own package, ADT also has a pre-made Starter package and Premium System for those who would rather have all their bases covered for them.
You can link your Google products to the smart security system as well. Sync up your Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max, Wi-Fi, Nest Thermostat, the Nest Doorbell, and the indoor and outdoor cameras. Use your linked Nest device or the ADT+ app to access ADT Self Setup’s settings and features.
