This page of the Lightify Flex RGBW strips review looks at Installing these Flex RGBW lighting strips. But, I want to start the conversation mentioning different App options, then get into the hardware, and basic configuration.
No matter how many light strips you decide to use, the level of capability you will have will be based on which App based solution you choose.
Perhaps the most important thing to know about the different apps, is that you can almost always expect the most capable App to be the one provided by the manufacturer. In cases like working with the Lightify Flex lights, when using with Apps from Belkin WeMo, Wink, SmartThings, and others, that none of those Apps was really designed specifically with RGBW strip lighting in mind. Those others all vary a great deal in what capabilities they bring to the lights. Most are pretty limited compared to Lightify’s own app, although using options such as IFTTT can add in additional capabilities to those apps that are thin on features.
